The NCCDH works to integrate health equity and the social determinants of health into Canadian public health practice. They provide the Canadian public health community with knowledge and resources to take action on the social determinants of health — to close the gap between those who are most and least healthy. They work with the public health field to move knowledge into action in practice, policy, and decision making to achieve societal improvements that result in health for all.
Black Health Education Collaborative are Black scholars and practitioners committed to transforming medical and health professional education in service of improved health of Black communities across Canada. Their mission is to transform medical and health professional education to improve the health of Black communities across Canada.
Mentorship is recognised across disciplines in both academic and practice settings as an important contributor to building capacity within organisations and among individuals. Despite the inactive status of CCGHR, these modules provide a foundation for exploring different forms of mentorship — laying the groundwork for cultivating a culture of mentorship.
